For those enrolling in college for the first time, I can relate to any feelings of anxiety or uncertainty that you may have – because I am a product of a community college myself. I want to assure you that here at Volunteer State, you will find all of the services you will need to make a successful start. We are here for you, to answer any question you may have, or to simply offer encouragement should you need it.

Vol State has much to offer to those who may not be new to college but are beginning a new start at Volunteer State. You will find that student life and the educational experiences here are comparable to those at a major university. Our outstanding faculty and staff are available to help you in any way possible – your success is our primary reason for being here.

A special welcome to our new website is extended to our current students and Alumni. Your continued confidence is proof that we offer our students the best educational experience available, and we promise to continue our commitment in providing a college experience that is both useful and valuable to you.
