Caregiver

CSI-Caregiver Services of Tennessee -

Job Description22 year old Female with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, does not talk, blind in one eye, Has a G-tube on the tummy (mother will give her medicines through this tube) It can get wet when bathing.
BATH - Sits in tub, wash her, wash hair as needed, wash around the G-tube.
DRESS - as needed to keep clean clothes on her or after bath.
Bathroom Assistance - wears a diaper. Keep her dry and clean. Take her to the potty every 2 hours to use toilet.
MEAL - mashed and purees food prepared by the mother. She can hold the eating utensil (Hand over hers helping) Food will be on hand to feed her. She does not chew well, be patient when feeding her. Individual knows the sign language sign for ALL DONE, she may use when finished eating.
HOUSEKEEPING - tidy up after bath and feeding.
TRANSPORTATION - individual likes to go places. The Mall, Target, Park, Swimming Pool, etc. She has a walker she may use for a short time. She also has a stroller for use when in the community.
BEDTIME - she might like you to lay down with her for a few minutes to calm her down, so she can go to sleep.
***Individualís room is also a calming room. They call it her *Disco Room* It is a solid white room with lights and soft music. She has a waterbed. She likes for the music to be turned on and the lights to be on, this helps her relax and calm down.

Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, valid TN drivers license, pass background check , random drug screening, Be responsible, dependable and willing to learn. Great for students majoring in Human Services or Health related fields. Full and part time hours available, PRN (as needed) and weekend openings.
