Hotel Sales Coordinator

Job DescriptionReporting to the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and Hotel General Manager, the Sales Coordinator represents the sales and marketing department as a liaison between clients and operational departments.
This position provides enhanced communication and administrative support to sales managers enabling the team to support relevant sales strategies, targets and activities.
Processes new business opportunities by qualifying inquiries/leads and escalating contact information and relevant details to the appropriate Sales Manager.

Job RequirementsPerforms a variety of administrative duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying). Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.

Education and Experience Required:
• High School Diploma and degree in Hospitality Management or Tourism is preferred
• Previous experience within a hotel sales environment is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Marriott® FOSSE PMS System preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

This position is primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours; however, you must be flexible and available to work occasional evening and/or weekend hours as needed to accommodate client's schedules and attend networking and industry events.

Company Description The newly constructed, soon-to-open, Residence Inn by Marriott® Nashville at Opryland is now accepting resumes for the position of Sales Coordinator. This is a very exciting and important role with the unique opportunity to open a brand-new Marriott® hotel. This custom built, upscale, extended stay hotel will offer 123 suites with amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, meeting facilities and lobby bar/lounge.
