Dear Valued OSHA Instructors and Participants,
The Volunteer State Community College OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) will be pausing all OSHA courses effective April 20, 2026, through June 30, 2026. Periodic updates will be shared throughout this timeframe as additional information becomes available. NOTE: We will be contacting students in the OSHA#500 class scheduled to begin on April 20th, as we intend to proceed with this cohort. Any other classes the week of April 20th thru June 30th will be canceled, and students contacted as noted in the third paragraph.
During this period, the OTIEC at Volunteer State Community College will be undergoing a comprehensive restructuring. Our goal is to ensure we are delivering world-class training with up-to-date content, enhanced technology, and a more modern, high-quality experience for our OSHA clients. We are working closely with the OSHA Office of Training and Education at the U.S. Department of Labor to complete this process.
If you were scheduled to attend a course between April 20th and June 30th , we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To support you during this transition, we are offering the following options:
- Reschedule your course for a date after July 1, 2026 (NOTE: payment that has already been provided will be applied to the future course.)
- Receive a full refund if rescheduling is not feasible
- Receive assistance connecting with other OSHA Training Institute Education Centers training opportunities (whether in person or virtual). We are currently working with our UTCIS consortium partner specifically regarding any students that may currently be enrolled, and/or have interest in, the OSHA 7300 and 7410 classes. If anyone has an interest, you may contact the UTCIS OSHA training center.
We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. We look forward to welcoming you back to an enhanced, modernized OTIEC experience at Vol State beginning in late summer 2026.
