Educate a Woman

After postponing our original event for March 27th, and after much deliberation, we have determined that we should make the very difficult decision to cancel the event for 2020.

While we are saddened that we will not be able to gather and celebrate these young women this year, we are continuing to support them through this scholarship. These scholarships are important now, more than ever! Many of our students have experienced job loss during this time and are finding themselves in need of scholarship support more than ever!

It is through Educate a Woman and our incredible donors that we have been able to raise more than $290,000 and create over 60 scholarships for female students at Volunteer State Community College.

Educate a Woman is an annual luncheon held in March by the Volunteer State Community College Foundation as a fundraising opportunity with all proceeds benefiting women’s scholarships. Tickets are not required, but there is a suggested minimum donation of $50 requested at the event.
