Admission Requirements

  1. Request high school to send official copy of your academic transcript showing date of graduation directly to Volunteer State Office of Admissions, or submit an official copy of GED scores (if applicable).
  2. Submit ACT or SAT scores if under 21 years of age as of the first day of class for the first term of enrollment. (Scores are used for placement and counseling purposes only.) If over 21, please refer to the Testing Center page.
  3. Request all previously attended colleges to send official copies of your academic transcript (with college seal) directly to Volunteer State Office of Admissions.
  4. International students, requiring an I–20, should follow the instructions outlined in the Volunteer State Community College Catalog under the sections “How to Enroll” and “International Students”.
  5. Register for your classes online and pay for your fees!
