Jennifer Brown, Class of 1996
The 2025 Distinguished Alumnus is Jennifer Brown, 1996 graduate of Volunteer State Community College and former softball player.
After her time at Vol State, she went on to Tennessee State University where she received a degree in education. Beginning in 2012 with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC), she took on a leadership role in 2019 with its broadband subsidiary, Cumberland Connect. She is an active supporter of Volunteer State and the College Foundation. She has supported and volunteered at events such as the Athletic Association’s Golf Tournament and Women Empowering Education luncheon.
