Costs
Costs associated with attending the Robertson County District Collaborative include the same components as any student attending Volunteer State Community College. Tuition rates for the district collaborative students follow the Dual Enrollment Students fee schedule.
The following is intended as a general overview on financial aid and out-of-pocket categories. More specific information will be provided each year at information sessions. Questions can also be submitted to us at dualenrollment@volstate.edu.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to eligible district collaborative students to offset the costs of attending the district collaborative.
TSAC Middle College Scholarship
The TSAC Middle College Scholarship is the primary source of funding used in the district collaborative. The district collaborative staff will assist accepted the district collaborative students with the TSAC MCS application after they have been admitted to the district collaborative. TSAC Dual Enrollment Grant
The TSAC Dual Enrollment Grant will be used by the district collaborative to cover the accelerated pre-Fall semester course that first-time district collaborative juniors will take in the beginning of August of their junior year of high school. The district collaborative staff will assist accepted the district collaborative students with the TSAC DEG application after they have been admitted to the district collaborative. Out-of-Pocket
Students and their families should expect to pay for certain costs associated with enrollment in the district collaborative. These include, but may not be limited to:
- Portion of tuition not covered by financial aid (tuition estimate for students starting Fall 2025)
- Books and Course Materials
- Living Expenses (such as food)
- Daily transportation to and from the Vol State Cookeville campus
- Miscellaneous costs incurred such as parking tickets, fees for replacing lost ID cards, and costs for replacing damaged devices or materials.
