  • Head-start on your college career.
  • Start your career sooner.
  • More autonomy in the learning environment and flexible study schedules.
  • Continued connection to your high school through extracurricular activities and graduation.

Key Program Details

  • Collaborative students will take two courses in-person each semester at the Vol State Springfield Center. The remaining classes will be taken online asynchronously. In some situations, some students may take a third class in-person in a given semester depending on course availability.
  • Collaborative students must study full-time (minimum 12 college credit hours) each semester.
  • State aid is available for eligible students to cover the majority of the tuition costs. All other costs are the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian.
  • Robertson County will provide transportation from each high school to the Vol State Springfield Campus at Highland Crest for any student enrolled in the district collaborative on an as needed basis. Students are encouraged to provide their own transportation within district guidelines where possible. Transportation must be requested to the school counselor prior to classes beginning in order to schedule with the transportation department.
