Chief of campus police, Joe Pennington, recently graduated from the Southeastern Leadership Academy (SELA). The five-week leadership development program is led by top law enforcement personnel as part of the Law Enforcement Innovation Center’s leadership training. This respected program gathers public safety leaders across the region to strengthen management and leadership skills.
Graduating from the academy is a significant milestone for both Chief Pennington and the Department of Campus Police.
"His dedication, commitment, and pursuit of excellence sets an outstanding example,” stated Brett Stoller, Vice President of Business & Finance. "As the first chief to complete this prestigious program, he has not only achieved a remarkable personal milestone but has also paved the way for future leadership development within our campus police department. His hard work and determination will have a lasting impact on the department and the College community. We look forward to seeing the positive changes and innovations that he will continue to bring to the College.”
Thank you, Chief Pennington, for making our campus a safe place for students to grow and learn and for staff and faculty to support the student body.
