Gallatin, TN — The Vol State College Foundation is proud to announce that Women Empowering Education raised more than $88,000 for student scholarships during its 19th annual luncheon. Held on March 27th, the event brought together nearly 500 community leaders, advocates, alumni, and supporters for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to supporting Vol State students.
A special thank you to this year’s title sponsors — Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas, Meta, the National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC), and Subaru of Gallatin — whose leadership and commitment helped make the event a success.
“The scholarship has taken that weight off of my shoulders and given me confidence to pursue my goals. Thank you to every donor who has given me the confidence needed,” said Kimberly, a 2025-2026 scholarship recipient.
Highlights of the event included a performance by comedian Kristin Lindner, a student scholarship testimonial, personal stories from program participants, and a celebration of the collective commitment to education.
Since 2008, 243 students have been awarded scholarships from donations to Women Empowering Education, totaling over $614,000.
The Vol State College Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit of the college, makes a difference in the lives of students every day by awarding scholarships to those who might not otherwise be able to obtain a college education.
