Four Family Members all Using TN Reconnect

Jim and Kim Bare will be attending Vol State together this fall using the tuition-free TN Reconnect program.

Tuition-free community college, with TN Reconnect, is inspiring thousands of adults across the state to attend college this fall. Volunteer State Community College has nearly 1000 new eligible applicants thus far. But it isn’t just individuals signing-up. Couples, and even whole families, are taking the opportunity to earn a college degree. Jim and Kim Bare of Hickman are attending Vol State this fall with their daughter Jessica and son-in-law Michael.

High school seniors should apply for their TN Promise tuition-free education opportunity now, even if they don’t have their university or college plans set yet. Applying for TN Promise now gives you the option to attend Vol State tuition-free next fall. However, if you don’t apply by November 2 at midnight, you won’t be able to use TN Promise at all. High School Seniors- it’s time to fill out the TN Promise application to give you access to your tuition-free college education next fall. You may have not made a decision on where to attend yet. Filling out the application by the deadline of Nov. 1 gives you the option to attend Vol State tuition-free. Students can also now fill out their FAFSA. Earn a Vol State Degree Tuition-Free - Get Started Now!

Tennessee Reconnect is a state program, beginning in the fall semester of 2018, which allows eligible adult students to earn a college degree tuition-free. The primary requirement is that you not already have a college degree. Vol State is one of the participating community colleges offering TN Reconnect.  Interested adults can complete the whole process now to get ready for fall classes.
