Melanie Cochran, co-owner of the Wild Cow vegetarian restaurant in Nashville, will discuss “American Stew” the melting pot of American cuisine on Wednesday, October 21 at 11:30 a.m. The virtual presentation is open to the public and will examine how imperialism, slavery, immigration, technology, politics, and popular culture have shaped a uniquely American cuisine. Cochran is also an assistant professor of History at Vol State.
