The Tennessee Board of Regents confirmed Dr. Orinthia T. Montague as the next president of Volunteer State Community College during a special called board meeting Tuesday. Dr. Montague was recommended to the Board by Chancellor Flora Tydings and a committee, after a nationwide search.
Dr. Orinthia Montague began her first day as President of Volunteer State Community College on Wednesday, September 1. She has been meeting with faculty, staff, and students. Dr. Montague comes most recently from New York, where she was president of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden.
