Vol State is pleased to announce another faculty award. The Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) has named Kristy Powell, LVMT as the 2025 Outstanding Technician of the Year. This award aims to recognize those who show outstanding performance, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. Powell joined the Vol State family in 2018 as an Adjunct Instructor for the Veterinary Technician program. Dr. Hope Write, Vol States Veterinary Technology Program Director, says that Powell is not only an outstanding technician, but an outstanding instructor.
