The Volunteer State Community College (VSCC) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is excited to partner with the Clay Walker Foundation (CWF) to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Together, VSCC PTA faculty and the CWF host a free monthly clinic on the Gallatin campus, where clients with MS can benefit from physical therapy interventions designed to improve symptoms and overall well-being.
PTA students volunteer at these clinics to observe and learn from licensed faculty as they provide care. This hands-on experience not only strengthens student learning but also helps prepare them for future clinical externships. It’s a powerful way for students to give back to the community while developing their professional skills.
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) clinic is held monthly in the PTA laboratory facilities on the Gallatin campus. Clinic dates for the remainder of the Fall 2025 semester are scheduled for Friday, October 10 and Friday, November 14. Dates for the Spring 2026 semester will be announced at a later time.
