The Volunteer State Community College (VSCC) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is excited to partner with the Clay Walker Foundation (CWF) to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) faculty at VSCC were invited to the 16th annual Clay Walker Charity Classic at Pebble Beach, CA from June 26-30, 2024. Regina Brown PTA, Dan Ashley PT, and Doug Perry PT provided manual therapy skill demonstrations and educational information to the golfers who participated in the fundraiser. The faculty were invited by Ken Smith PTA who is the Director of Development for the Clay Walker Foundation. Mr. Smith is a 2021 graduate of the VSCC PTA program.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is teaming up with the Clay Walker Foundation (CWF) to organize an inaugural clinic on campus for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). We are thrilled about the opportunity for students to witness diverse therapy techniques under the guidance of Dan Ashley, who is the Academic Clinical Coordinator for the PTA program. This innovative approach to learning aligns with the College's mission by building partnerships, strengthening external community involvement, and offering an innovative educational opportunity to Vol State students.
