Join us in celebrating the work of Vol State art student, Sabrina Marquez! This week, she signed the mural she designed and painted which is the first thing you see as you enter Warf, our Math and Science building on the Gallatin campus.
This is the first student-created mural, with others planned to showcase our programs as well as the talents of Vol State students across our campus buildings.
Projects like this reflect the real-world experience Vol State offers students, encouraging people to actively step into their future careers, while still having mentorship and guidance the college is known for.
“Having a real professor there for me, one-on-one, made a big difference,” Sabrina stated. “I appreciated the opportunity to take this huge step closer to becoming a professional artist.”
In addition to this milestone, Sabrina is currently working on illustrations for a children’s book, reflecting an impressive portfolio of work she can share before graduation.
Congratulations and thank you, Sabrina. Your work is an inspiration!
