The big news for the fall semester at Volunteer State Community College is the tuition-free program for adults called Tennessee Reconnect. It’s designed for adults who don’t already have a college degree. They can take classes full or part-time in all of Vol State’s academic areas. It includes day, evening and online courses. There are some stipulations and additional eligibility requirements. For details, and a simple list of how to get started, people can visit www.volstate.edu/reconnect.

Volunteer State Community College is welcoming students back to school with more in-person classes this fall. The college will be increasing the number of on-ground classes available on all four campuses: Springfield, Gallatin, Cookeville, and Livingston. The college will also be expanding opportunities for students to engage in campus activities while still maintaining safety measures. Vol State classes have been primarily online for the last year, due to COVID-19. Vol State online courses will continue to be offered in three versions.
