GALLATIN, Tenn.- December 30, 2025 - Volunteer State Community College is pleased to announce several new additions to its Athletics Department, reflecting the continued growth of Pioneer Athletics. The college has welcomed a new Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer, along with head coaches for its new women’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams. These additions reflect Vol State’s commitment to expanding athletic opportunities and supporting student-athlete success both on and off the field.

Vol State Expands Athletics with Women’s Soccer and Volleyball

Gallatin, Tennessee – August 21, 2025 – Volunteer State Community College (Vol State) is proud to announce the addition of women’s soccer and women’s volleyball to its athletic program lineup, expected for the 2026-2027 academic year. These new teams will enhance opportunities for student-athletes, expand the College’s athletic presence, and strengthen student life both on and off the field.

The softball and baseball teams have completed their regular season. This month, they will be participating in their post-season tournaments.

Softball

The softball team will travel to their Region 7 Tournament, hosted this year at Columbia State Community College. The tournament runs May 5-9. Their first game is Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m.
