Ines Petrovic-Garcia, an M.A. holder, PhD candidate, global traveler, and Volunteer State Community College Assistant Professor in Communications, has been chosen for an Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowship by the Television Academy Foundation in Hollywood. The Foundation was founded in 1959 as an extension of the Television Academy. The organization dedicates itself to protecting the legacy of the television industry while also investing in its future. This future is secured by candidates such as our very own Ines Petrovic-Garcia.
As one of the 18 professors selected nationwide, Garcia attended a 3-day event in October at the annual Media Educators Conference, where she expanded her knowledge of art, science, and the business of television. She will bring this curriculum enhancing material directly back to classrooms here at Vol State.
