Vol State is proud to announce that Freda and Jonathan Pinkerton both received “Educators of the Year' awards from ISSA's (Information Systems Security Association) Middle Tennessee Chapter in Nashville.
ISSA Middle Tennessee is the community of choice for international cybersecurity professionals dedicated to advancing individual growth, managing technology risk and protecting critical information and infrastructure in middle Tennessee.
Their service to students, and our college, was proudly attested to by Kevin Blankenship, Dean, Business & Technology Division, who stated, “They have played a huge part in helping Vol State become recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in the area of Cyber Defense, and have made us one of precious few to receive this designation in the State of Tennessee.” He added, “this is a well-deserved award. Congratulations, Pinkertons!"
