Gallatin, Tennessee: First National Bank of Tennessee in Cookeville contributed to the Upper Cumberland scholarship fund at Volunteer State Community College.
“Volunteer State Community College is grateful for the generous support of First National Bank of Tennessee in Cookeville for scholarships for students in the Upper Cumberland area. This scholarship will open doors for students who might otherwise be unable to attend college and will help them build a brighter future for themselves and their families,” said Karen Mitchell, Vice President for Advancement and Exec. Dir. of the Foundation for the College.
Vol State serves more than 600 students in the Upper Cumberland area through its regional campuses in Cookeville and Livingston, Tennessee.
Founded in 1965 in Livingston, First National Bank of Tennessee remains a family-owned and locally operated institution and continues to grow by addressing the needs of the community.
The Vol State Foundation, a separate 501c3 non-profit of the college, makes a difference in the lives of students every day by awarding scholarships to those who might not otherwise be able to obtain a college education.
