This year’s event, held in early November, brought together 249 donors and raised a remarkable $78,805 to benefit scholarships and student programs.
Volunteer State Community College Celebrates Giving with Purpose through Vol State Giving Day 2025
Gallatin, Tennessee: Volunteer State Community College is celebrating “Giving with Purpose” through our Vol State Giving Day, a 36-hour window to make an impact on students. This year’s event will take place from 12:00 PM CST on Wednesday, November 5th, to 11:59 PM CST on Thursday, November 6th, culminating with a Celebration event that evening.
Volunteer State Community College Celebrates Success of 19th Annual VSAA Golf Classic
Gallatin, TN: The Volunteer State College Foundation proudly celebrated the success of its 19th Annual Volunteer State Athletic Association (VSAA) Golf Classic, held Monday, August 4, 2025, at Foxland Harbor Golf & Country Club
Thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, participants, and volunteers, the tournament raised over $17,000 to support athletic equipment and facility improvements that directly benefit the college’s basketball, baseball, and softball teams.
Volunteer Bank Donates $5,000 to Support Vol State Students Through Memorial Scholarship
Gallatin, Tennessee: Volunteer Bank donated $5,000 to the Paul Jackson Warren Memorial Scholarship at Volunteer State Community College.
The scholarship honors Paul Warren, who passed away in December 2011 and served as the Assistant Vice President at the Bank. Since its founding, over $104,000 has been awarded to students in need.
Women Empowering Education Luncheon Raises Over $75,000 for Student Scholarships at Vol State
Gallatin, TN: Volunteer State Community College hosted its 18th annual Women Empowering Education luncheon on April 4th, 2025. The event brought together community leaders, businesses, and friends to raise over $75,000 for student scholarships.
Macon Bank and Trust Company Establishes Scholarship for Vol State Students
[Gallatin, TN - Jan 30, 2025] Macon Bank and Trust Company, located in Lafayette, Tennessee, established a $2,500 scholarship for Volunteer State Community College students.
“This scholarship will give opportunities to those who share the same values of work ethic and moral character that is important to our Bank,” said John West, President and CEO.
John West joined Vol State’s Foundation Board as a Trustee in 2025. Chad Coley, City Executive for the bank in the Nashville Metropolitan area, also serves as a Trustee on the Foundation’s Executive Board.
Vol State Giving Day Was a Great Success
The Volunteer State College Foundation’s first annual “Vol State Giving Day” was a great success, netting over $65,000 and adding 62 new donors.

Vol State is proud to announce its inaugural Vol State Giving Day, a fundraising event designed to raise crucial support for Vol State students. The event has the theme “What a Difference a Day Makes."
Vol State Athletic Association Golf Classic Nets over $18.5K!
The Vol State Athletic Association Golf Classic, benefiting the Vol State College Foundation took place on August 7 and netted over $18,500.
The tournament was held at Tennessee Grasslands at Foxland where teams competed for the Vol State Bank Corporate Cup Challenge. The Golf Classic is held annually and raises money for the Volunteer State Community College Athletic Association. Prizes were awarded for par 3, long drive, and closest to the pin.
